Privacy notice
Nordmoor is an independent learning business. This notice explains what personal data we collect through this website and our simulation, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We are the controller of that data. To contact us about it, use the enquiry form on our home page and choose "General enquiry".
Enquiries
When you send the enquiry form we receive your name, email address, organisation (if you give it), the audience and offering you choose, the group size and timing (if you give them), and your message. We use them only to reply to you and to discuss the programme you asked about. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or steps you ask us to take before a contract. We keep enquiries for two years after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Taking part in a session
In a facilitated session your team chooses a team name and makes decisions for a fictional bank. We store the team name, the decisions, your forecasts and the results so your facilitator can run the session and you can come back to it. Please choose a team name that does not identify anyone. A session expires 30 days after it is created and its data is then deleted automatically.
Your facilitator may ask for an email address when you join. We use it only to send you a link to your team's results after the session. It is visible to your facilitator, never to other teams, is not included in any results download, and is deleted with the session 30 days after the session is created. We do not use it for marketing.
Practice mode keeps your game in your browser tab only (session storage). It is not sent to us and disappears when you close the tab. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
AI feedback
Where AI feedback is switched on, your team's decisions and any written intention you enter are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate the feedback. Team names and contact details are not sent. Please do not type personal information into those fields. Optional AI drafting on the facilitator page sends anonymised team decisions and results (no names, team names or emails) to Anthropic, and only when the facilitator uses it.
Who processes data for us
- Vercel Inc. hosts the website and simulation.
- Upstash Inc. stores live session data until the session expires.
- Resend delivers enquiry emails to us and results emails to participants.
- Anthropic provides AI feedback, when it is switched on.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), though we would appreciate the chance to deal with your concern first.
